International Schools
Cyprus has a well-developed international school sector serving the large expat and diplomatic community. Most schools teach in English and follow British, American, or IB programmes. Quality is generally high — several schools have UK Ofsted or equivalent accreditation.
- Nicosia: The English School (founded 1900, highly competitive), Pascal English School, American Academy Nicosia, Logos Multilingual Private School
- Limassol: Grammar School, Foley's, Lord Byron School (British curriculum), Odysseia International School
- Paphos: Paphos Grammar School (British curriculum), Paphos American Academy
- Fees range: €5,000–€12,000/year for most mainstream international schools; elite schools (Grammar, English School) can reach €15,000–€20,000/year
- Languages: Most schools are English-medium; Greek is taught as a subject; French and other languages offered in some schools
- School meals and transport: Usually available at additional cost (€800–€1,500/year)
- Waiting lists: Popular schools in Limassol and Nicosia fill quickly — apply as early as possible, ideally a year before the intended start date
